An accident at work is not just a technical or medical matter that your OHS specialist will take care of. There are many things associated with it that are primarily the responsibility of you – the HR manager – and that can bog down the HR department, especially with lengthy administration. Depending on the severity, it is also often complicated to explain. Occupational diseases can be even more complicated, as they are investigated and recognised by regional health authorities, or accredited laboratories, and specialist occupational health providers.
