This training is led in Czech language.

Are you dreading the question “Why does my colleague take more than me?” Then you are not alone – and this question is at the heart of the ongoing transposition of the new European directive on pay transparency, which brings new obligations for employers, particularly in the area of equal pay for women and men. Although its transposition into Czech law is still in the pipeline, it is already raising questions about how it will fundamentally affect employers’ practices. Employers should start preparing for its impact now – identifying their future reporting obligations, analysing existing gender pay gaps and their possible objective reasons, etc.

The presentation will also focus on the existing Czech legislation, which cannot be ignored in this context. Together, we will discuss, among others, Section 110 of the Labour Code, existing case law on equal pay (for example, the issue of differential pay within regions) and the question of how to recognize “work of equal value”.
